Islander Reels is excited to announce that we are adding two new colors to our Fly Reel and Center Pin Reel line up.

The new colors will be "Forest Green" and "Slate Grey". Reels in the "Forest Green" color will be an exclusive color for Searun Fly and Tackle for a period of one year.

Our dealers and sales representatives have been listening to the requests of their customers (you) as to what they were looking for in a new reel, and it turns out that a 5 wt disc-drag large arbor fly reel was the overwhelming desire.

Luckily, Islander had already been researching and re-developing its very successful LX series into a smaller package, and when the requests started to pour in, Islander stepped up its prototyping efforts and brought the new LX3.2 from concept to finished product in record time. Like all LX fly reels, the LX3.2 features a frame-side drag adjustment knob, three sealed stainless steel bearings and a hard-coat anodized 7075 aluminum clutch with a Teflon and graphite impregnated cork clutch surface. The new LX3.2 series are available in classic Islander gold, polished hardcoat black, and clear anodizing that accentuates the mirror-finish on the reel.

Islander is also producing a limited edition pink LX3.2. Only 75 of the pink reels will be manufactured and a portion of the proceeds from the reel's U.S. sales will be donated to Casting For Recovery, bringing additional awareness and funds to furthering breast cancer research.
