Islander Reels is pleased to have John Nishi as a Friend of Islander. When John is not busy with his job as a Wildlife Biologist and a Landscape Ecologist for the Province of Alberta he spends as much time as his busy schedule will allow fly fishing and taking photographs. John has participated in many Canadian Fly Fishing Tournaments and has competed for the Canadian National World Fly Fishing Team on numerous occasions. John is an accomplished photographer and some of his images have been used in various Islander advertising and promotional materials. Recently, John has been asked to do photo shoots and writing for select magazines. His input into how the reels perform is invaluable.
